View in browser: recipient copies and preview links

View in browser lets a recipient open a browser copy of their email. In Noticestry One, this is separate from sharing a sample preview or requesting campaign approval.

Enable browser copies

  1. Open the campaign editor and select Details.
  2. Scroll to Email options.
  3. Check Include “View in browser” and save the campaign.
  4. Preview and test the email before sending.

New campaigns enable the browser link by default. Existing campaigns retain their previous setting, so check older drafts individually. The normal placement is at the top of the email.

Use custom placement

In the campaign visual editor, use the View in browser URL merge field as the destination of your own browser-view link. Its supported token is {{view_in_browser_url}}. Explicit placement requests a copy and avoids adding a second automatic link. Check the final result with a test.

Email options with Include View in browser and custom link placement

Email options controls recipient browser copies. Custom placement is optional; preview and approval links are managed separately.

  • Recipient browser copy: created at send time from that recipient's personalized message; normal copies remain available for one year.
  • Test browser copy: created for a test and available for seven days; recipient actions are inactive.
  • Share preview: a view-only saved sample with the lifetime selected in Review & share.
  • Reviewer link: an individual link for an approval decision on a saved campaign version.

Privacy and content

A browser-copy link grants access to the copy. Forwarding it shares the original recipient's personalized content, not a fresh copy personalized for the person opening it. Use a sample preview for a general review instead.

The saved copy preserves the email's HTML at send time. External images can still change at their original URLs, and browser rendering can differ from inbox rendering. Browser visits are not recorded as email opens or clicks.

Check that it is complete, unexpired, and not revoked. Older emails are not backfilled with new browser copies. Changing a draft setting does not add a link to messages already sent.

Workspace administrators can use the available browser-copy revocation controls. Revocation affects existing copies; future sends may create new ones, so coordinate with the administrator if a campaign is still sending. It does not recall delivered emails.
